Caye Caulker is an island about 5 miles in length from North to South.  Caye Caulker village is situated on the Southern mile that is separated from Northern Caye Caulker island by a man made channel known as ”THE SPLIT”.  Everything from the Split to the southern part of Caye Caulker is therefore easily accessible within about 10 to15 minutes walking distance.

Several Mini Supermarkets supply residents and visitors for their shopping needs.  A health clinic is also staffed with a doctor and nurse at no charge to paitents who are welcome to show appreciation by leaving tips there.

Caye Caulker is around 20 miles Northeast of Belize City, Belize making it easily accessible by sea or air.  Transfer flights take visitors directly from Caye Caulker to and from the Belize International Airport or the Belize City Municipal Airstrip.

Many other visitors and residents commute to and from the Belize City Marine Terminal where water taxis dock to Caye Caulker via water taxi boat.  The trip lasts either 10 minutes by regional air transfer or 45 minutes by fast, scenic, comfortable water taxi boatride.  About 8 scheduled water taxi trips travel in and out of Caye Caulker daily.
